Neurodiversity Affirming Therapy for Adults
In Washington & Texas
Hey there, I’m Becca
I provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy for highly sensitive and neurodivergent adults who are exhausted from anxiety and rejection sensitivity.
ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, HSP, or still exploring, this work helps you feel steadier, more self-trusting, and less controlled by automatic reactions.
Many people find me while searching for neurodivergent therapies, because they’re looking for care that actually understands how their brain works.
They want support that addresses anxiety, sensory sensitivity, executive functioning differences, masking fatigue, and rejection sensitivity by working with their nervous system—not against it.
A bit about Becca
Professionally: Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Personally: HSP, autistic-traited, eldest daughter (IYKYK)
Currently: Traveling full-time, chasing the best coffee shop vibes and beginner surf breaks.
I care about building a life that feels freer, lighter, and more me, while helping my clients do the same.
My clients have already done the work.
My clients have already done the work.
They’ve read the books.
Listened to the podcasts.
Practiced the coping skills.
But insight hasn’t translated into relief.
They still overthink.
They hold themselves to impossible standards disguised as “bare minimum.”
They still shame spiral.
When managing, rehearsing, or people-pleasing fails to prevent pain, they either explode or shut down.
If you often think,
“I know better… so why do I still react like this?”
You’re not broken.
Your system learned something powerful in an environment that didn’t fully understand you.
That’s what neurodivergent counseling is designed to address.
My Philosophy is Simple
If you could, you would.
You don’t need to try harder.
You need support that helps remove what’s in the way.
My role is to identify the blocks and guide you through them efficiently, directly, and gently.
How I Practice Neurodivergent Counseling
Transformation, not just symptom management.
I work with adults who look “fine” on the outside but keep getting pulled into the same emotional reactions and relationship struggles.
Many have:
ADHD traits
Autistic traits
Sensory sensitivity
A highly reactive nervous system
A long history of masking their differences
They’ve been told they need more discipline, motivation, or consistency.
They don’t.
Through structured, bottom-up approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy™ and Internal Family Systems, I help update rejection sensitivity, anxiety, people-pleasing, and shame at the source.
To me, truly neurodiversity affirming therapy differs from generic talk therapy.
We work where patterns were formed, so they can finally shift.
When they do, you might notice:
You say what you mean without rehearsing it for hours
Feedback stings, but it doesn’t spiral
You feel hurt without hours of self-criticism
You recover faster instead of losing days to rumination
You stop contorting to prevent disconnection
Conflict doesn’t derail your entire nervous system
Often, you don’t even realize you responded differently until after the fact.
It just feels easier.
Why Neurodiversity Affirming Therapy Matters
Many HSP and late-diagnosed ADHD and autistic adults grew up in environments that misunderstood their nervous systems.
They were labeled:
Too sensitive.
Too dramatic.
Too disorganized.
Too much.
Over time, that misunderstanding turns into:
High-functioning anxiety
Rejection sensitivity
Shame
Effective neurodivergent counseling doesn’t try to eliminate your wiring.
It helps you understand it, work with it, and unburden what never belonged to you.
My Values
Social work is a values-based profession; it has never been neutral.
My work is shaped by commitments to dignity, self-determination, and challenging systems that harm.
I am a neurodivergent-affirming, feminist, anti-racist, queer- and trans-affirming therapist.
I am openly critical of carceral and immigration enforcement systems that disregard human rights and perpetuate trauma.
You deserve therapy that helps you make sense of your pain in context.
This lens shapes all of my work.
